Hey everyone!
I have spent a good amount of time over the past few months searching the internet for tips on my first build that I will be putting together in the next 2 weeks or so, and I am finally coming to you all for a final look at my build before I go on a trip to Washington DC and buy some of the parts at Microcenter!
I have been following there emails and what not for about a year and I am beyond excited to finally be able to go to one, but that is besides the point. In terms of my build I am looking to build a nice gaming rig that can take on Starcraft, WoW, and hopefully some BFC/Crysis 3 with no problems at all. The money that I spend on it is not really a big issue, and if you guys see a flaw that you think could be fixed with a little extra cash I can throw that into the considerations.
Either way I would really like some input on the GPU and CPU especially, these will be overclocked as much as I can without getting to risky (i.e raising the voltage levels). I think that with what I've read the 7970 looks like I can get the most from it with just the one card if I put out just the little bit of extra cash so I think I want to go for it. Also I picked the 3770k just because I can get it for about $5 more than a 3570k at Microcenter, and thought why not get the extra HT technology and that few FPS more for just $5.
The things that I really think I could use more information on are the Case (if any of you have a really cool one that you like I'd love to see it or do some research on it), I have been trying to decide if I should go for the Full Tower even though I'm not doing anything like SLI at the moment, but should I go bigger for better air flow? The other component is the Mobo, I have picked one that I read about on Overclocker websites, but everyone seems to really like the Sabertooth and I'm wondering if it really is all it's cracked up to be.
Anyways that's enough of a wall of text, here is the build and thanks for any/all the help you guys have to offer!

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: Week of March 11th
Budget Range: $1500 after rebates and including a mouse/keyboard/monitor (Mouse and Keyboard are not shown because I haven't chosen them)
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming and engineering applications like Solidworks with some rendering
Are you buying a monitor: Yes
Parts to Upgrade: Nothing to upgrade from, this is a first time build
Do you need to buy OS: Yes (Thinking windows 7 professional/ultimate)
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Anywhere it's cheap, will be buying from Microcenter when I can
Location: City, State/Region, Country - Gainesville, Florida. But heading to Washington on a trip and will be near a Microcenter for a few days!
Parts Preferences: Really thinking Intel, but up for discussion if someone has such a strong opinion
Overclocking: Yes but don't want to raise voltage and get too dangerous. Thinking of taking the 3770k to about 4.3-4.4 and overclocking whatever GPU I get to its max
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe someday
Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 for now, might upgrade in the future, but at least not for another year.
Additional Comments: Noise isn't something I really care about that much because my laptop is like an airplane already... but I would like to show off my build with a nice case. The case I have listed is one that I found that's pretty cool, but if any of you guys have one that you think is really cool I'd love to hear about it!
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Going to spend last summers internship money to build myself the PC I've always wanted.
