I was on the waiting list at EVGA and finally snagged a Evga 3060 XC Gaming. I was about to do a build and couldn't decide on a 3080 or 3070-over a year ago just before the GPU apocalypse. Man,that was bad timing! I bought the monitor, case and even CPU thermal compound.
Except for the GPU,monitor and case,I have everything else reserved at Micro Center. Now a 2 hour drive and I'm in business.

CPU- Ryzen 7 5800x (wanted a 5900x,but the deal was too good on the 5800x and would have been massive overkill for the 3060) was $369 (actually under the MSRP of $449!)

MOBO- MSI B550 MAG Tomahawk $170 (got $20 off as a combo deal)

CPU cooler- Noctua NH-U12S $89.99

PSU-MSI MPG A650GF 650 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular $79.99

SSD- Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 2TB M.2 NVMe $229.99

Monitor (already had for a year-still in the box just waiting)- Viewsonic XG2760 27" WQHD 165Hz HDMI DP G-Sync Ultra Low Motion Blur LED Gaming Monitor

Case- DIY Skyline 06WR $50 (I think)

Thoughts and opinions appreciated (especially the stuff I did not actually buy yet at Microcenter. You have to "reserve" stuff and then go pick them up in person for the really good deals. Such is the world we live in now. Unfortuantly.)

At that price I would get the Deepcool Assasin which is a good couple of Tiers better than that Noctua...

Its 165mm, and if I am not mistaken, your case should have clearance for it.
Rest is pretty good.

Looks good. What RAM will you use?
I forgot to list the RAM:
G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 PC4-25600 CL16 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit F4-3200C16D-32G - Black $119.99

(I don't plan on aggressive OC,and quantity of RAM is more importantto me than a slight increase in speed).

No, this isn't going to work.
https://mydiypcusa.com/product/computer-case/diypc-skyline-06-wr-black-red-dual-usb-3-0-atx-full-tower-gaming-computer-case-with-5-x-120mm-red-fans-hot-swap-docking
Max CPU Cooler Height Allowance: 165 mm

Assassin III(also 165mm) in its default position, has no clearance for any kind of non-low profile ram. The front fan has to be moved or removed entirely.
Thank you!
I'm going to keep the case since I already have 2 cases (one is a mini Fractal Design that I mistakenly bought and was cheaper to keep than return to Newegg).
I really need a DVD burner and those types of cases are getting hard to find.
The DIYPC case is 165mm max height for the cooler and the Noctua NH-U12S CPU cooler is 158 mm for max height,so I should have plenty of room.
