Cpu: AMD Phenom II X2 550
Gpu: AMD Radeon HD 6670 2GB GDDR3
Ram: 800mhz 6GB

Solution
GET SOMETHING OLD LIKE Q6600+MOBO U CN FIND IT FR ABOUT $40-50...
OR ELSE 1st GEN I5+MOBO FOR ABOUT $90-120

IF U WANT A BRAND NEW BUILD FR CHEAP THEN GET A RYZEN APU FR ABOUT $99 ..ND PAIR IT WITH A $50 MOBO....ND $70-80 RAM
For gaming, your weakest link at present is your gfx card. And right now, mid-range and higher gfx cards are at ridiculous prices. Double and triple normal price. But if you play at low settings and just need better in-game response time, you'll want a faster processor. One way would be to move to a new platform as you suggest. Do you have a budget limitation?

A cheaper way (since you gfx card is your weak link anyway), would be to find a quad core Phenom II as fast as your dual core.
