finding mac address using router

My lap was stolen by someone a week ago. I lodged a police complaint. They asking for a laptop's Mac address to trace it out. I have connected my laptop to a TP-LINK router. Is it possible to get Mac address through that router? Please explain me a step by step process.

The MAC address is only viewable during a specified DHCP lease period, usually 1 to 24 hours by default. If it's been a week, then the ability to view it has long since passed.
