Finding the right monitor.

Just recently finished building my own PC (relevant specs for the question below) and need to get a new monitor to display the glory. I soon realized that monitors can be quite complex and finding one right for your own specs seems sensitive. I was wondering if something like an AOC Agon AG271QG 27" Gaming Monitor, QHD 2560x1440 IPS Panel, G-SYNC, 165Hz, 4ms, would run smoothly with my build. I of course want the best picture i can reasonably obtain but I don't want my FPS to tank like the titanic trying to do it. Would a monitor of this specs be a good fit or maybe something a little less beefy?

CPU: Intel core i5 9600k, 6 core, 3.7 GHZ
GPU: Geforce GTX 1070 STRIX, 8GB
RAM: 16GB DDR4

165Hz... Thankfully the Monitor supports G-Sync so it won't be much of a problem. It is just that the GTX 1070, 8GB won't be able to produce more than 120 fps on most triple-A games. (From personal experience, games such as Battlefield 1 on Ultra, 96-107 FPS).

It depends on what games you're going to play. If it is triple-A, then 165Hz is not needed. If I were you, I would go for a 144Hz one.

Your gtx1070 is fine for 1440p gaming, or 1080p 144hz gaming.
That monitor is overkill even for higher-end cards, so I would not recommend buying it. Of course, it will provide a beautiful image, but you won't be able to fully exploit it.
I'd get either a 1440p monitor or a 1080p 144z one, depending on the games you play.

I would purchase the Dell Flagship High Performance 27" Gaming Monitor with WQHD 2560 x 1440 Resolution (2k), 144 Hz Refresh Rate and NVIDIA G-Sync 16:9. It is within your budget (Considering that AOC Agin AG271QG costs 420$ on Amazon.com)

If you prefer action titles (e.g. CS:GO) this is a very trustable monitor: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/rkphP6/asus-monitor-vg248qe
If you prefer better resolution, something like this would suit you: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/D7hj4D/acer-monitor-umkg7aa002
Also, it is worth looking into ultrawide.
You can always get the monitor you originally said, as J_E_D_70 suggested, it depends on how much money you are willing to spend.
