Just finished a custom build. When I turn in on I get a beep and it boots up with power and display appearing. But when it tells me to his f2 or del my keyboard won't work so I can't complete setup. I was just using this keyboard earlier so I'm certain it works. Does anyone have any ideas?

Also I apologise if this is in the wrong spot, if so could someone put it in the correct place.

Specs are:
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 plus
CPU: AMD FX-8350 black edition vishera 8 core
GPU: gefore gtx 970 SC
PSU: corsair CX750M

I'm using a standard HP keyboard that I got with an HP pavilion a couple years back.

Your drivers may not be installing fast or they may not be installing at all. Try plugging the keyboard into a different connector and if that does not help then try plugging in a different keyboard.

Well... it depends on what part of the MB is broken. If the PC has turned on then it may be only a issue with the connectors. There might be even more issues with the MB that you have not found out yet. It may also be a issue with the drivers. If nothing else works, you should go back to the shop where you bought it and ask for a new one or ask for a refund.

I just tried to charge a phone and another device with some of the USB ports and they do in fact start charging, so this must mean that they are getting power, but maybe like you said it's not getting the drivers. Is there anyway around this?

If there are drivers for your keyboard somewhere on the manufacturers site then download and install them. After that try if the keyboard works. If it doesnt try restarting the computer.
