So I've been researching for months now how to build computers, I finally finished my build this past weekend. It's not perfect I'll admit, but for a beginner I'm pretty pleased with the outcome

Being a beginner, I feel there is A LOT I have overlooked and this community has been very helpful thus far, so I come here. My questions are for the seasoned veteran or the enlightened newbie:

-I've pretty much downloaded all my drivers, and Windows still has its obligatory updates, but is there any other diagnostics/drivers/updates I should download for my computer's performance?

-Audio still isn't working. Unsure why. I'm being told an audio output device needs to be installed, but I've tried Googling and nothing helps. Is there specific I need to have my audio to work?

-Are there any tips/suggestions one might offer someone like me who is just beginning their journey?

Well for question no.1 just keep your drivers up to date and keep installing those updates (windows)
Question no.2 Did you install the right driver? Do you have the output as the default device?
Question no.3 I prefer that monthly i open my build up and give it a quick clean to keep everything running smooth

cool. there's no programs I could use that may help with boosting performance?

Also, I got the audio to work. Unsure of exactly how I got the drivers downloaded,
but basically I went to >start>computer>manage>device manager>right click PC>Add Legacy Hardware
and after I restarted my computer completely, it worked.

Ok great to hear that. Well for boosting you performance i would recommend the Tune up utilities cause after time its features will come into use.
