Fire dmg to psu cord

Hello,
recently one of the peripheral heads (the very end of the cord) of my psu was exposed to an open flame, there was only minor damage, but my concern is if it will affect the psu or computer once its plugged in. I wont be using it of course, but will it still cause a problem? If so how do i go about removing the cord without causing further damage?

If you are only talking about insulation being scorched and the metal intact and not touching each other it should not cause any problems.
