Question Firecuda 530 running a lot slower than advertised on windows 10

I recently bought a firecuda 530 2TB ssd with a preinstalled heatsink from amazon and I installed windows 10 on it, I did some benchmarks to check the speeds / temps and everything seemed great at first just like advertised
After around 4 days of everyday use I realized that when I extract big zip files like 20-50 GB the speed was slow it would not even reach 1000 MB/s it always stays around 500 MB/s and it should be 7000MB/s.
I tried using both 7zip and winrar but both are the same never above 700 MB/s
I made a copy of a 100 GB file to check the speed and it was never above 1500 MB/s but it did a little better than extracting
other than that games load about the same for back when I had my sata ssd

Am I missing something here? also FYI I'm a complete noob when it comes to stuff like this I literally just upgraded from a sata ssd to this "blazing fast" ssd
I don't know if I should replace it with another brand or not as I can still return it.

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
MB: ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PRO
GPU: GTX 960
MEMORY: 32GB 3600 MHz

That depends a lot on the CPU/RAM. The drive may be fine...the rest of the system is also doing a lot of work.

Yeah I noticed the cpu usage hits 100% then goes down ram stays around 40%

I meant just copying the same file and pasting it in the same folder

Exactly. The drive is just idling, waiting for the CPU/RAM to do its thing.

And that will report as much slower than the advertised speed. It is doing two things at the same time.

What does CrystalDiskMark show?

I guess 7GB/s is too much for my pc to handle so that was an overkill I'll probably return it and buy a cheaper one

That shows the drive is running just fine.

Your expectations of what it should be doing and when, however....that is lacking.

That big number which is always advertised is only seen in rare circumstances.
Such as copying a large block of sequential data between two similar drives.
