Firefox building up crazy RAM use

Hi.

Lately my Firefox has been spiking its RAM use like crazy!

It starts out with about 750MB of RAM.

Now i just came home. Almost no tabs up and running and it has spiked to 2.500MB of RAM.
I have turned off the multiprosess function. No plugins are running and i am just the default theme and just Adblock.

I think this is effecting my PC performence overall,cause it has been acting wierd and laggy the last couple of weeks.

I run 8GB of RAM.

Tried it.

Atm i have 5 tabs running. One is a Youtube video, the rest just regular sites.

Usage is 1400MB of RAM.

This, to me, seems ubnormally high.

How many firefox processes do you see if you assort to order?

Have you tried disabling adblock?

I use uBlock origin and Ghostery together, its a very good combination. If adblock is not the problem, just seeing if youre interested.

It only uses one process. I turn off the multiprocess function.
Does AdBlock demand such RAM performance? I cant try turning it off though.

I don't think Adblock demands more memory but you can try.

Not sure what else might be causing Firefox to consume so much memory. Do you embed discord videos through Firefox?

I thank you though, you've actually helped me dealing with multi processes and now i don't have several as before turning that option to false. Wish i could have helped you the same.
