For the past week, Firefox always freezes between about one and four minutes.
Chrome works fine, as does all other software.

I have run Ccleaner and antivirus. No help.
I have changed search default engine. No help.

System:
Windows 7 Pro, ASRock Z87 Extreme 4, i7-4770K, 16GB GSkill 1866, Intel 480GB SSD
-- everything running at stock speeds

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration in firefox? Some pages will load slower, but it may solve your problem. This happened to me before. At the time I had to disable hardware acceleration until I could update my video drivers. It seemed the two didn't play nice together.

It's under Tools->Options->Advanced

Thanks for the ideas.

I disabled hardware acceleration. No joy.

I watched Task Manager while running Firefox. Firefox memory usage remains under 300,000K and all others together are probably less than 300K. (Chrome has several entries, totalling less than 150K. Hence I doubt that's the problem.

I am beginning to wonder if the problem is only Newegg.
I have been surfing for what stuff to get for a Skylake system.
Seems like Newegg's website is sick.
Anyone else notice a problem with the Newegg website recently?

Written from FIrefox (unlike my other notes in this thread)

Agreed. I posted this comment to help others, if Newegg is causing them problems also.
Still not convinced, but odds are good it's only Newegg.
