Firefox is disallowing adobe flash on my xp machine as outdated, but flash is up to date. Is this because xp is not supported?

XP machine with up to date adobe flash encounters Firefox blocking of "outdated" flash version error messages. Is this a result of not looking out for XP users by Firefox? Do I need to control the Firefox version to avoid loss of support for XP?

Firefox does not use the same flash as the system & Ie does, You need to download and install it thru the FF browser.
Visit Adobe.com, click MENUI at the top just right of center, and Flash Player will be at the bottom just above the All Products button. Don't forget to un-check the "Optional offer" LoL
