Question Firefox: Replacing FVD

The developer behind Flash Video Downloader may have made some mistakes, thereby getting the add-on blocked from the browser.

The downloader itself was exceptional: 1080p from YouTube and other sources; format conversion; rtmp protocol; and a practical UI.

Any recommendations?

May be that developer (and Firefox) just got a nice-worded letter from YT...

Streaming videos are not meant to be locally stored, period.
