After running firestrike 1.1 on my computer i saw that my score was only 17735 while seeing another user getting a whopping 19711, after investigating a little further into the detailed scores i saw that i similar graphics score, a lot higher physics score but very low combined score which is probably the reason my overall score was so much lower.

Links:
My score: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/24225862
The score i compared with: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/11315852

My specs are (can also be seen in firestrike results):
CPU - 1700x OC @3.9
RAM - 16GB
GPU - 1080 STRIX

Any more information will be provided to the best of my ability!

Thanks in advance

You really need to compare a system that's more identical to yours.. Another reason your score seems to be lower is that you're running system memory at @ 2,664 MHz while the one you compared with the same CPU is running memory at @ 3,230 MHz. When dealing with Ryzen the faster the memory the faster the over all performance and if you look at reviews they report the same and it is a measurable difference. Also your score is 17735 while the Ryzen system you are comparing it to has a score of 18196 which is pretty comparable really as the difference could simply be what's running in the background while the benchmark is active and even something as simple as memory timings and the motherboard itself can play a factor. The difference is...
The first thing to note is that you are comparing a Intel system version your Ryzen. Intel CPU's still have an advantage is when it comes to raw CPU power which is why you see a similar graphics score and why the combine score is higher overall on the Intel system.

PS and the Intel system is clock far higher than yours.

But how does that explain me having a lot higher physics score. Similar graphics-score and a lot higher physics score should not result in a lot lower combined. Something doesn't add up. Also i don't know what you consider "raw" power when it comes to CPU. To me raw power is what you can pull out of all threads which puts the 1700x way above.

Anyway thanks for the response!

EDIT:
Saw a person with similar specs and a lower clocked CPU get this score (notice the combined score being higher here too)

Need to look into this.

The difference is very very minor so much so in fact if you were to run the test several times you might even get closer but in reality there are far to many variables to take into account.

Aigthy, thanks for the clarity! Gonna take a look at my memory once again, never gotten lucky with my ram. Could be the sticks or mobo but they wont go above the X.M.P profile. Saw some other people on the internet with similiar sticks that they couldn't get higher speeds without loosening the timings extremely much. Might just have to look at new sticks..
