Firewall, antivirus,malwarebytes,internet security?? will they crash?

I am using
1. zone alarm fire wall 8.0.298 free edition; and
2. bitfender 6.0.2900.5512 free edition ;also with
3. a come-along software Norton Internet Security(60days trial)of my new HP pavillion dv3-2111TX laptop...
so I was wondering whether I am doing the correct things or not. I've been using Avira free edition as well but it always classified HP's system files as virus,which makes me uninstall it later... but I had phobia from a malware attack last time because I surfed tons of webs due to academic reasons...that's why I'm seeking for the best solution for my laptop's safety now.Lots of people say I should not use 2 anti-virus, please tell me whether the combination of the above softwares will crash my computer system or not or you have a better suggestions of firewalls or anti-virus for me?
Besides, I found that Norton IS always resolved tracking cookies only,as soon as I uninstalled Avira,there are pop-ups on my computer when I turn my laptop on, I felt so scared...! So I went to search for many antiviruses, I know CNET is kind of a high-rated website...but I doubt of the CNET's editor's rating on the antiviruses..I read so many users reviews on each different antivirus but none of it just seems perfect to me!
Please tell me the solution...Thanks a lot!

ok...thx for the info but could u pls elaborate for a bit. I am kind of new to computer securities knowledge...
So is the Norton Internet Security an antivirus? at least I know ZoneAlarm and Bitfender work differently, but Norton,I' m not sure.
Besides, I realized that when I[m browsing internet, it runs very slow. Should I change to another anitvirus? I don't have this kind of problem when I'm using Avira but Avira quarantined my HP system file. Should I use other free antivirus like AVG or Avast? will they really help?

norton internet security is anti virus and firewall all in one, zonealarm is only a firewall, avg is alright as antivirus programs go, i would uninstall zonalarm and i would say your internet browsing performance will increase and uninstall avira you are causing confilicts with the different security applications

ok...But I thought Zone alarm is the best free firewall available(from high rating of PCworld and CNET), and also there is some people using it with NOD32 together and they say these 2 perform great together.
That means u suggest me to uninstall everything (ZA Firewall, BitFender AV, Norton IS )but only use AVG free edition 8.5?
I am not very sure about AVG,Avast!,Avira and Panda security these kind of high rated antiviruses also bcs there r lots of feedbacks from the users (CNET) that they just don't really work like they do, of course there r good reviews also praising the respective AV but most user find it not useful..
So what should I do? Really need your advices!

Just stick with Norton Internet Security and forget everything else.

As grumpy said, having more than one anti virus app and firewall will cause epic problems on your system, the reason why some people are using nod and zonealarm is because they are using one of each application, i suggest having a search on the internet and find out why having more than one security app will and does cause serious system issues.

Ok..i see. So what i was doing were totally wrong..I also started to feel that my computer has some problems even though Malwarebytes anti-malware found nothing wrong wif my pc.
I think I might just uninstall everything but use AVG only, but I think my pc systems has already got some problems..so what should I do? I've reformatted my laptop once...is it necessary to reformat it once again bcs I've been using 2 anti virus for 1month+ which caused some system crashes?
please tell me everything in detail bcs I don't want to waste my $ reformatting my 3months old laptop!
I will appreciate all of the helps given...thank you!!

Just want to jump in here and mention IE can be adjusted to block third party cookies. As described here, just a few clicks in the "privacy' tab and third party cookies will no longer stuff your IE with junk 'handshakes' and the cyber balogna which can potentially break down system security. I have made the the simple Privacy adjustment to block third party cookies on all my systems. I have a lot less problems with unwanted cookies this way. In fact, I block a lot of individual sites from dumping unwanted cookies onto my machines with this.

Just block third party cookies, not first party. This will work fine, no problems. Then if you have the cookie address, individual cookies can be blocked also from the privacy location.

My vote is for norton internet security and malwarebytes. Malwarebytes is great for cleaning infections and norton is good for monitoring internet traffic. Anything else is just bloat. After norton expires, I would go with Avira in it's place.

I would take Avast over AVG. I've used AVG and it didn't catch as much as I thought it should. It also seemed to be a bit resource hungry. AVG usually ranks as good but not great on most reviews. But I'd take Avira over both.
