firewire/1394 computer card

I need to purchase a firewire card for my computer. In my reading I see that
I can purchase either a 400 or an 800 card. I'll be using this with Windows
Movie Maker and a Panasonic 3ccd mini dv camcorder. Which card do I want?

No camcorder yet supports IEEE1394b so the IEEE1394a will be perfectly
sufficient. (That's the 400 one!)
