Ive been browsing the net for a while looking for any information i can find on this but havent found anything useful. Is there a VCR with FireWire output. Ive seen a couple with FireWire input, but i want to output to my computer mainly for viewing but possible editing as well. Pretty much a 'camcorder' without the portability. I want to be able to watch TV and movies without the hassle of analog wires. Just a single plug for firewire. Thanks!

Or another firewire solution. Such as a firewire tv tuner. I have only seen pci or usb tv solutions. usb is out of the question and id like to stay away from pci. Any suggestions?

I've just found this post in another forum site which might be the answer of your question.

I was afraid of that. However I found this product from ViewSonic called NextVision6. It has nothing to do with firewire but instead turns your PC monitor into a TV.

I would have liked to control everything from my computer, but I do like the fact that none of my PC resources would be used, and that I could get huge quality.

Has anyone seen any other companies make this type of product? I cant seem to find this one on eBay, or localy.
