Firewire port broken?

So there is this thing going on our school. If you stick a lead pencil into a firewire port of a macbook pro and spark it, will it break the firewire port? is this true?

Most likely it will and maybe even more than that port. Sparks and computers don't go together well !!!!

First of all, I did not clarify that I tried it. Second, It started going around the school, so was curious to what would happen to the port.

Make a lot of damage, that's what but as there's only 5vdc there would not be a lot of sparking, maybe some smoke though. Graphite in the pencil has high resistance, you would get better results with a bare wire.
