I cannot upload video from my HDV camera via Firewire after automatic upgrade to Windows 10.

It was working fine in Windows 7, however, import/capture video from firewire (E1394) is no longer working. I tried to reinstall drivers, legacy drivers, reinstall software - nothing works. I have ASUS fx990 sabertooth with VIA® VT6308P controller (IEEE 1394a) and Canon HV40.

The Firewire port works for external driver and video camera works on different windows 7 PC.

I saw many discussions on the web of similar problem but nobody seems to have a working solution.

Can anybody suggest how to solve this problem?

Thanks.

What legacy drivers did you install? What capture software are you using? I have an HDV camcorder as well and am using Windows 10. I just checked under device manager (Windows 10) and the firewire driver I have installed is from Microsoft (2006) on a VIA 1394 OCHI Compliant Host Controller.

I apologize if this is this is something you have already tried.
