[SOLVED] Firmware update for Rival 3 steelseries mouse taking longer than 12 hours

So I started a firmware update yesterday for my Rival 3 and it still hasn't finished, the lights on the mouse are still flashing, but I don't know if there has been any progress. Is it normal for steelseries firmware updates to not have a progress bar?

Not normal. No progress - something has gone astray.

Could be a download issue, an installation issue, a computer hardware issue.

Firmware or driver?

What site did you use to obtain the update? What specifically did you download or launch?

Are you able look at what your computer is currently doing via Task Manager or Resource Monitor what is your computer doing?

Apps that are running, resources being used, etc.....

You may need to "End Task" whatever is stuck.

I used the steelseries engine, under My rival 3 it said crucial firmware update. When I clicked it, it said that if i turned off or unplugged my mouse or turned off my computer or stopped the installation that could make my mouse unusable. Once the installation started I was no longer able to move my mouse, and the lights on the mouse started flashing, and they've been doing so ever since.

There are posts for other mice/keyboard brands if you have more than one brand of software running you want to shut them all off first and just have one running. Logitech firmware fails with Razer software running is one example.
