Hey guys,

im doing a build for my mom who has, for the last 8 years been using nothing but laptops, and while they have worked pretty okay, she's ready for a nice computer.

She normally uses her current laptop for gaming, and day-to-day activities(youtube, bills, ect).

The rough budget on this is $1000 USD, and we are hoping to get everything ready this week or next.

She's going from this:

HP Pavilion(Current Laptop)

i5-6200U 2.3Ghz
8GB ram
Intel® HD Graphics 520

To This(which i am kinda proud of, Considering im new waters when it comes to higher end hardware)

Intel Core i5-9600K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor

CRYORIG M9i CPU Cooler

Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI

G.Skill Aegis 16 GB

Western Digital Blue 250 GB

Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB

Zotac GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB

EVGA 600W

windows 10

So guys, how did i do?? Any suggestions, or tips are more then welcomed, as i said before, im more of a lower, lower end guy.

Thanks guys :)

Will this be on an open air test bench? You are missing a case. 😊

And will your mom need all that storage? If not, ditch the SATA drives for a 500GB/1TB NVMe drive.

What kind of games does your mom play? You might want to consider a 3600x for something that is geared towards productivity if that's what she'll be spending most of her time doing.

Other than that the build looks good 👌

Sorry, i should have put in i have a case on hand. she plays world of warcraft, diablo 2/3(The newer game) and a few others, which is why i thought a larger drive would be best, however i will look into the NVMe drives, Thanks Haza :).

Intel is bad value right now, specially when they are on the verge of launching their next gen. processors...

Also that PSU in your build is garbage.

Here is how to get Windows cheap...

You can even activate it later. There is no effect on performance...

This should be better...
