so....

I've had my own build for about 2 years now no real problems. but the only real reoccurring problem that i just put up with is that;

When i first boot up my PC after its shut down overnight, it will boot fine, load up and as soon as i start some tasks, it blue screens, then reboots and from here its fine no problems all day, BUT, next day, same problem, and the next, so on, so on.

(bluescreen error codes vary, from memory modules to windows files etc always forget to take note)

Searched for various ideas on what it could be to no avail.

Note, during first boot the CPU (only which discovered) makes a rotten noise like its struggling to run then after about a minute it goes to normal, i've compressed aired all the crap out the fans and heatsink, and the noise still comes back.

Specs:
I5 2500k (not overclocked)
GTX 650 ti
8gb RAM
120gb SSD for OS HDD for shite.
Windows 7 ult
550w PSU

Any advice is much appreciated.

sounds like a driver or hardware issue as that is when a blue screen happens. The last time I got a blue screen was when NVidia experience was updating my display driver, for some reason on NVidia experience caused this so I now install all my updates manually and get none now.

Go into device manager and check that it is recognizing all your devices, hardware and drivers. If you have a driver updating software use it if you can, I use driver booster.

Also I would recommend you try running the computer in bare bones for a bit to see what happens after a while.

So:
-No GPU (plugged video cable into motherboard display port)
-One stick of RAM
-Only the HDD/SSD with the OS connected

Try that for a bit

Thanks for the speedy reply!

Just ran driver booster, apparently all my drivers were "VERY OLD", which was scary.

The way this problem is, ill have to wait till tomorrow morning to see if its worked! if it has ill be straight on here.

Thanks again.
