First boot: fans run, but nothing else.....

Finally got my system built (first time) plugged it in and have the case fans, and processor fan working (and continue to work), but nothing else is going. Remote mouse plugged into the back USB port lights up for a second and dies. Can't get anything on the monitor. Any thoughts on what the issue could be? I've got all the manuals open as well as every possible google search. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I took the motherboard out and a loose screw fell out, seems like that was shorting it out as it's allowing me to boot now. Thanks for the quick response and line.... sure I'll need it tomorrow during the boot up
