Hi,

After putting all the hardware together, it runs fine at the beginning but I get a short beep and can´t access the BIOS
The short beep according to the motherboard manual means:
"Power supply surges detected in previous power on"or "No keyboard detected¨
I´ve a standart logitech Usb plugged keyboard and have cleared the CMOS.

Any idea please? I have no idea what else to try.

Could it be the keyboard?, Ive tried in my laptop and works fine.

these are the specs of my new built:

Asus Z10PA-D8 ATX Dual-CPU LGA2011-3 Motherboard
2 x Intel Xeon E5-2630 V3 2.4GHz 8-Core Processor
2 x Corsair H75 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
2x Kingston 32GB (4 x 8GB) Registered DDR4-2133 Memory
Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB STRIX Video Card
Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

I´m using the motherboard VGA, but I do see the system initializing.just can´t access the BIOS after it.

Nope, haven´t tried the single RAM, would it help?

I´m qetting an Ab error inthe Qled, don´t know what it means, is not in the manual

Thanks a lot for your help

Just tried single RAM and doesn´t fix it, with DVI to Graphic card nothing shows in monitor and with DVA to Motherboard the "Asus System initiating screen" with percentage bar loading till it gets to 100 and then nothing,

The Ab error is still showing up in the Q-led

any other idea?

"and with DVA to Motherboard the "Asus System initiating screen" with percentage bar loading till it gets to 100 and then nothing, "

I've just checked and the board has integrated graphics.
Try leaving single RAM module installed (graphics card removed) and connect a bootable drive to the motherboard. See if booting from it.

Ok, have you ever been in the BIOS and if so did you configure the Remote KVM over IP, BIOS settings? If this is the case then you might need to use the ASWM software that comes with the board. Just guessing but it might be (for security reasons) that once you turn this on you can no longer get to the BIOS through POST. I could not find this in the Manual so it is just a guess.

If this computer is not on a network yet and you can not remotely control the BIOS because you do not have a second computer to do so then you can try spamming the F5 on bootup to reset the BIOS back to default then Spam Del on reboot and see if it will finally let you into the BIOS.

This is a shot in the dark though as I can not afford this Server Board my self so it is hard to speak from experience on this. I have worked with other servers that use remote admin like yours but they are HPs. I hope this helps.

Also, one last thing, have you tried a PS/2 keyboard or tried moving your keyboard to a USB 2.0 connector?
