With that cooler you can push the CPU to higher clocks with ease.

Is a 1080 and 1700 not a tad overkill for 1080p gaming or will I need it?

Not at all overkill for 1080p. It is only last longing. Nothing is overkill. The higher you go longer it lasts. Especially with GPU. Lets say GTX1070 lasts 2Yrs(60fps+) GTX1080 will last 4Yrs(60fps+). Not at all overkill it is only long lasting.

If you're not going to be doing any video editing or streaming in the future, yeah they perform the same for gaming.

That would be fine for just recording right? Like small 5-10m clips to show highlights to friends etc.

If you're gonna record, you may want the extra core/threads of the r7.

It would just be recording for League of Legends really which isn't too intensive.

Thanks for the help 😀

I'm assuming I'll need thermal paste as well, can u recommend some please?
