Here is the list of parts I have so far and would greatly appreciate anyone coming to critique it and hopefully answer a few questions.

CPU I want to overclock the i5, I heard that using a 240mm radiator would be better than a 120mm? Is this correct and is this the best bang for my buck when it comes to cooling?

HD/SSD I also heard that for SSDs you only get the true performance if you connect it with pci express. Is the SSD I have picked okay? I am looking for 250GB SSD and a 1TB data HD.

Unsure on the motherboard also, is what i picked too much? As for everything else about the PC, I am assuming the PSU I picked out should be more than sufficient and the case should be able to house all the parts no problem.

My suggestions for a 1500$ gaming build:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4bpchM

34$ over the budget, but that went towards that fantastic cpu cooler. Absolutely amazing, trust me. If you, for any reason, can't afford that one, it can be swapped out for the hyper 212 evo, which is also a great option.

Hope this helped, have a nice day :)

I will say this the ram go with the 2133mhz over the 2400mhz, this being imo as I have watched and read in many forums and videos there is no evidence of gain as for now the latency in ddr4 is still very high. Great choice in the graphics card. Again imo unless you need faster transfer speeds for the ssd I would go with the sata ssd. Also know that ssd over HD for gaming shows no improvement. Now again this is based on research and my opinions. If it were me I'd drop the ssd to a sata ssd and get a gtx 980 and also upgrade the Asus DVD Drive to a blu ray drive. Again that's my 2 cents
