Hey there all,
So I'm pretty much lost when it comes to building computers (or anything computer for that matter) other than what I go out and learn on my own.
I'm taking on building a machine that will be able to handle newer FPS games like BF4 and whatever next year may bring. I do not use photoshop or graphic editing software similar to it.
So here's the main parts I've picked and I'd like some feedback on them such as, more than I need, not enough, better options, compatability, etc if you peeps would be so kind.

Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-Z97-D3H LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150

GPU: ASUS TURBO GeForce GTX 970

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) SDRAM DDR3 1600

I have a Fractal Define R4 Mid tower. Hoping to play on either 1080P or 1440P at least 60fps on ultra.

Thanks in advance!

Good choice on that CPU. If your just gaming and don't need the hyperthreading that the i7 provides, it's a perfect choice.

I own a 970 myself and it's amazing and crushes everything in it's path. However, I've never heard of the ASUS Turbo version. It seems like it's good, but I personally own the MSI Gaming 4G and it works extremley well.
