First Build. Any suggestions? Not looking to play much more than WoW. May grab a few Steam games when they go on sale, but no

Thank you so much for the response. I took your advice and changed a few things, but the 500W PSU was only $10 less than the 600W. Here is what I am looking at now.

I just need to come up with $90, but it seems like that GPU may be worth trying to come up with $90. What do you guys think?

I will probably do that then. If I do upgrade, it won't be for a very long time. Also, do you have any thoughts on which GTX 970 to go with? I've read that Gigabyte and MSI made better 970's than EVGA. At this point it's just between those two cards.

Sorry I don't know the difference between specific branded 970's, but you won't be disappointed with any, whether its reference or aftermarket. Nvidia has a good reference cooler and the 970 has low heat output so it will be even quieter.

Advantages of reference are that finding a waterblock (if you are into watercooling) is easier to find, and because its a blower design it pushes heat out of the back of the computer so if you don't have great airflow it's ok.

Advantages of custom cards are some have a different pcb (the actual board) so it can have better power delivery/overclocking, and they have coolers that are often quieter than the reference ones.

Again, I'm not sure about the specific cooler designs, I usually go with the best combination of cheapest and nicest looking one.
