As i stated its my first build. Id really like to build it into the corsair 250D. This in mind I'm going with the asus M5A78L-M micro atx motherboard. The cpu i was considering was the AMD FX-6300 6 core ( thoughts on this would be amazing). All that in mind I'm not sure what graphics card i should even be looking at. I'm assuming something along the lines of an R7-250x. I'm trying to stay around or under $800 for the whole build. thanks in advance for any input you guys have i realize i am a noob but please bear with me.

iv not settled on other components yet but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

thanks again
Brian.

Solution
Because most of games are GPU intensive like BF3/4 (no the 64 players), etc. and few of them like ARMAs, GTA, etc. are CPU intensive.
BF4 http://www.techspot.com/review/734-battlefield-4-benchmarks/
ARMA3 http://www.techspot.com/review/712-arma-3-benchmarks/

Yes, the AMD PC will be better in the price/performance ratio for the low budget PC as long as you get the good GPU for games, because the GPU is more important. So depend on what games you play, and are you the game enthusiasts or just play the games sometime?

Intel is my personal favor, but I don't play a lot games so I am still use the old CPU/GPU. I add the AMD list for similar price with FX8320+GA-970A-UD3P. And If you switch to i5 K version CPU + Z97, you will pay more than...
Because you want to build the pc on corsair 250D, that is the Mini-ITX format, and AMD does not have the MB to fit with the fx6300 and the case. You need use the intel system like my list.

I assume you want to build the game pc, so I add the gtx750ti but you can upgrade to R9 270 GIGABYTE GV-R927OC-2GD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125491 or downgrade to R7 250x too. If you need the HTPC PC that you can use the intel i3 too.

Thanks for such a quick reply cin19, it was a lot of help. I was wondering though if its a good idea to start off on a mini itx board or if i should just spend the extra hundred or so dollars to go with a full size motherboard and a mid or full tower case. I like the corsair 250d because its small enough to fit on my work bench and because its just a really nice case for the money but i am not entirely attached to it. do you think it would be wise to start off on maybe on one of the $100-$200 asus z97 boards and just go with a larger case in order to leave more room for expansion later. also what are your thoughts on maybe going amd over intel? Iv heard that you can get as much from a cheaper amd chip as you would from a mid to upper priced intel. I was dead set on intel when i first set out on this project but was slowly turned amd after looking at some of the pricing.

thank you again for your time its alot of help to have somone to kinda bounce some of these questions off of

thanks again
Brian
