Alright, so I think I finished the list for my first build with the help of a few people. But, it is about $150 over budget. ): I need some advice on trying to downgrade the parts but still have a computer that can perform well for a long time. I plan on using it for 3+ years, for school. I probably will be running programs like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom on it, as well as some average web browing/downloading and some very very light gaming. (Minecraft, MAYBE a Steam game or two) Any help would be great, thanks!

Of course it will handle them but because it's only a dual core it will run them slower than let's say a quad core of the same generation.

If your build was meant to be an intro to...
1) I would change the HDD to WD Caviar Blue - more reliable than Barracuda
2) I see you are getting your build as an entry to Skylake but if you choose some previous generation components, you will probably save around $50 and will not lose any performance.
3) VP-450 power supply is higher quality than the EVGA one you put in the build.
4) Because you don't game much you could puck up a cheap Quadro on eBay or get GT 730 2GB GDDR5.

Cheers :)

Hey, thanks! Will defiantly change my parts. How do you think the CPU will handle the programs?

If your build was meant to be an intro to Skylake then I have no problem with that, but you will save by going with Haswell Refresh (Broadwell).
