Hey, I am saving up for my first build and have made a list of components that I think look good and would make a decent gaming pc. As far as I'm aware all components are compatible with each other. Any improvements or money saving tips would be nice! Haven't got much spare money due to wanting to buy a good hd monitor as well.
This is my list https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/james2415/saved/4trA
Thanks!

Looks good, but if you plan on a heavy overclock I would get a bigger cooler and PSU. For stock settings or mild overclock it will be fine though.
m5a99x is generally $10 cheaper. The only different between the X and FX is the FX has two x16 pci-e lanes. the X has only one... so if you did SLI they'd be running on 8x and 8x.

if you're not familiar... it makes absolutely no different 8x vs 16x until you get into the 780/titan level of cards.

besides, your PSU isn't enough for SLI anyway, so m5a99x save you ten bucks. the rest looks good.

any reason you chose 1866 RAM? I'd either get the basic 1600, or get the fastest your mobo supports.. which is 2133
