First Build!!! Don't know what components to choose!

I am trying to build my first desktop PC. Right now, I am trying to get the components sorted out.

I need a PC that can multitask, deal with video editing, photo editing, video encoding, and video burning. I also needs a PC that will still run smoothly when there are a lot of software installed on it (as I tend to install a lot of software on my computer and then not uninstall them even if I don't need them). I would like my computer to run Adobe software well and I don't plan to play games on this computer. I need advice on what components I should pick because I'm having a difficult time deciding what fit my needs. I want to have a computer that is reliable, easy to install, and durable yet fits my budget. ($400-500 including the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and other accessories.)

I did little research and I came up with this list.

The only problem with this list is that I am worried that the AMD FM-8350 is not fit for my needs or is too powerful. I am also worried about the parts not working well with each other. That is that the motherboard that I selected will limit the power and capabilities of the CPU.

I would like some advice on what components to chose. Do you think the AMD FX-8350 is to powerful. Are any components bottlenecking? Or do you think I should build a Intel system...

(And no I am not planning to overclock.)

Do you think I should go with the AMD FX-6300 instead and go with the 970 chipset?

on your build the older 8000 nvidia gpu is real real old. those card are power eaters and run real hot. for the money your better off using a newer 500-700 line of gpu. on my build used the newer apu that has a better gpu built into a 4 core cpu.

So do you think I should go with an apu instead.
