First build, fans start lights glow but no display

It's my first build, i Put everything together and tried booting
cpu, gpu and case fans start spinning LEDs on my case turn on but nothing is displayed on my monitor, i've tried with hdmi and DVI plugged intp my gpu, still nothing
I already tried two seperate power supplys sp thats probaly not the problem and i can't figure out why it's not working

Most probably the board does need a BIOS update for supporting the Kaby. As an option, you can order a BIOS chip on ebay and replace the board's one.

Hello... On first BOOT your MB/BIO's will default to the CPU/IGT and MB video output connectors... remove the Video card, plug monitor into MB, set your Monitor for the input/cable you are using and try another Boot.

Once you got a Display, you need to change the BIO's Peripherals setting for EXT PCIe display (save&exit) Power down and insert your Video card, and change your cable to the Video card for the next Boot.

I plugged out the video card connected my monitor to the motherboard like said but when I started it still nothing on the monitor

2) Have your pressed buttons on your Monitor for the setup screen, and selected the correct input/cable type?

tried both the dvi and vga ports on the motherboard and went to the corresponding channel on the monitor
both times nothing

never heard of replacing a BIOS chip beforehand, is there a good guide of how to do it?
