First build, first time using ssd

I just built my first PC and everything is running smoothly so far. The only issue that's bothering me is that everything is trying to install onto my SSD. It's an 120gb Samsung 850 EVO. I already moved the location of My Documents and stuff onto my HDD.

What can I do to make HDD my primary storage drive when installing programs?

So just to be clear u want to download everything on ur hard drive not ur SSD? If so if u are using Chrome go to Settings> Advanced Settings at the bottom of page, where it says Download change the location of the folder to your HDD. Or just click "Ask where to save each file before downloading"

No, I mean like when I'm installing a program. Sometimes it doesn't allow me to choose the location and then to have to change the location everytime is kind of a hassle.
