First Build for Gaming PC under $1000

Hey Guys,

I just had a bunch of help from @shortstuff_mt and i made a few changes due to price and references.

I was wondering if this build could run games like modded Minecraft, BF3, and Day Z on medium settings?

I would suggest switching out the 750 Ti for an R9 270x, since you can get one for not a whole lot more and it's a relatively worthwhile performance increase.

Get the r9 270 over the Gxt 750 ti since your build already has a PSU big enough to power it.

Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($149.99 @ Newegg)

The difference is the graphics performance, you will get better quality at higher frame rates with the r9 270 over the gtx 750 ti. The only reason to go for the gtx 750 ti over the r9 270 is if you strongly prefer Nvidia GPUs (ie hate AMD), plan to use Nvidia's Shadowplay, or absolutely need Phsyx on your games.

Whats the purpose of ur gpu. To play games with a low buget in mind? If is yes then consider an after market gpu from amd R9 series

Well my budget is $849 for everything except a monitor.
I want to have a good GPU that can play those games up top. im at $785. So i have a little room to upgrade. Any specific suggestions?

If you have $50 more then get the r9 280, that would let you play pretty much every game out at high or ultra settings:

So on this set up are you sure that this video card is a good one to have and it works with all my parts?
I just saved up this money and i dont know what im doing.

Yeah, that build I posted all works together and has pretty good performance. The R9 280 will give the best graphics performance at that price.
