Hey guys, I have posted a couple times already trying to fine tune a gaming desktop that I would like to build for the first time. It is meant only for games and school so I have no intention of over clocking. I am trying to keep the price under $1000, but am more concerned with the reliability of the parts rather than their price. The build must also take into account an OS. Any feedback on the build and the part's compatibility would be nice. Thanks.

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912

Ram: G. Skill Ripjaws 8GB 1600 240 Pin

Which asus or Gig. mobo would you choose? Again, I am looking for stability rather than a cheap board that may have bad reviews. I wants this to go as smooth as possible.

Also I am struggling with whether an AMD CPU (such as the 8350) is a better choice than the 4570 for gaming now and in the future, or if they both will be strong for many years to come

Right now the i5 has the advantage in the majority of games. The AMD does have better performance in newer games like bf4, but it's only by a few fps. Either way both are good but the i5 does offer better fps in most cases.

Max settings probably not, but high definitely. If your aiming for higher settings go for a R9 280x or a GTX 770.
