Hey everyone,

So I started building my first PC tonight. I got completed most of the wiring and installed everything in the case, with the exception of my GPU (R9 270). Problem is, the GPU will not fit into the PCI-E slot on my Asrock H97 Pro4 motherboard. It seems as though PCI slot is off by about 1mm.

Here is a picture so you can see what I mean... http://imgur.com/YxISqy6

Kind of hard to see, hopefully you can make it out. I can't seem to push the GPU back any closer to the case to make it fit into the slot. Seems to me like something isn't aligned properly, either on the motherboard or GPU.

Would greatly appreciated some help! Pretty bummed out about this since the build was going pretty good up until this point.

...Thanks!

it looks like you might have pushed the other end down a little too much, make sure you don't put one end into the slot first, line it up resting on top of the pci slot and then even pressure on both ends, if not then contact mobo manufacturer

I tried everything, it simply will not fit into the slot on the motherboard. I decided to just return the motherboard for a new one. I am a little worried that it's going to happen again though...I've searched online and haven't read about anyone else having this type of problem.

I tried that it. I fits, although it doesn't seem to fit very snug, it wiggles around a bit. I'm not sure if that's normal or not.

And to answer your previous question, yes the card was slid in between the motherboard and the case.
