I've done my research but I have no experience with building computers myself. I've set my sights on: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/kdVygL
i5 6500
212 evo
ARCTIC MX4 thermal paste
Gigabyte GA-H170M-D3H Micro ATX or ASRock H170M Pro4 Micro ATX or ASRock H170M-ITX/DL Mini ITX
GeIL EVO POTENZA (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133
Kingston SSDNow UV400 240GB 2.5"
Hitachi Ultrastar 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB G1
Zalman Z3
Rosewill 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX

My biggest question is the mobo, will they bottleneck the card at all?

Solution
- don't get an ITX mainboard. the Gigabyte board is very nice and will do easily
- your PSU is not best quality
I'd suggest

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Power Supply: SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $69.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

or if you're on a tight budget one of these:

Power Supply: SeaSonic 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $54.99

- you won't really need a 212 evo with the 6500. the stock cooler will do fine, a smaller aftermarket cooler will suffice if you despise the stock cooler
