First Build Help needed

Hi,

This is my first build, i am not going to be gaming, just need something which will last, which will be relatively fast with multiple high memory using apps running in one go like, photoshop, fireworks etc and watching HD movies. My budget is £500, this is the part list i have compiled so far, it is coming to £597, need some help on how i could get this down to £500 and also if everything i have picked is compatible or not.

is there no chance i could keep the CPU and cut cost somewhere else? maybe RAM or motherboard? or GPU?

Well, the thing is, since you're not gaming the unlocked processor and motherboard has significantly less purpose. Ergo I downsized the processor to a smaller stock clocked haswell i5 that should handle all your tasks with relative ease. I did bump your graphics card up a bit, to accommodate your needs better. It could, given you had a sudden urge to, do some light gaming.

If you wanted something a little more in the processor area, I'd suggest a 4590 with the same motherboard. More performance and better single core than the 4460.

I want a future proof processor.

what do you think about the GPU i chose? are there better alternatives that can be purchased for around £50?

is everything i mentioned in original post compatible?

any decent cheaper gpus? around £60-70?

Looks great. I would however advise going with the Samsung SSD over the sandisk. Benchmarks lean strongly to the samsung over any other brand at the moment. 840 or 850 series are all good, whichever is cheapest is a great buy
