hello guys i'm almost done with my first pc build.( http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/3A8is)
ok so, i have 6 pc fans (not including 1 gpu cooler fan).i have looked at alot of forums, but i still can't find solution.
My questions-:
1. will all 6 the fan be controlled by motherboard according to temp.
2. if not should i buy a fan controller and how does it work.( AUD $32).
3. is there a program i can use to control my fan or put it on auto.

Plz answer all of the question,as i don't wont to bother u guys again.
thx

Solution
You can use fan splitter cables and connect 2-3 or more fans on a single fan header on mobo.

If mobo has a support for fan controlling based on temps then it will definitely do that. Asus mobos do have this feature.

Benefit with fan controller is that you can easily change the speed of any fan using fan controller. Fan controller is installed on 5.25" drive bay giving you easy access from front side of the PC Case. On the back side of the controller you can attach fans and molex connector is provided for power purpose.

Asus provides the Fan Xpert software in which profile for each fan is created and you can easily monitor or even change the speed of the fan.

Normally with PWM fans, mobo controls the fans automatically.
Most motherboards won't have 5 case fan headers. You might be able to split 2 fans per header. Why have you got so many case fans? usually 3 is ok.

And yes, you can buy a fan controller. They usually sit in a 5.25 inch drive bay. They are fed with a power supply molex connector. And you just turn knobs to make the fans go fast or slow. But there's different types.

The advantage you can get with mobo driven fans is that you can set some sort of fan profile - rpm vs temp. But as I said - it depends on which mobo you're getting. eg Asus mobos use Fan Xpert
