Hey Guys,

When I was a student 6 years ago I used to build computers, that was the last time I had a desktop. I have had a string of laptops since, my most recent being Alienware M11X. It is a great machine but is now struggling to run some of the latest games so I have decided to build a desktop. I know you have heard this 1000 times before but my main priority in terms of gaming is BF3. I also quite fancy Skyrim when it comes out.
I’ve decided on a gtx 570 as my graphics card, but not sure which one to go for.
Here is a list of what I was thinking about:

CPU i5 2500K £155
GTX 570 £250
Coolermaster Hyper 212 £22
HDD 1TB £40

Not sure about the rest, hoping you guys can advise me.

Thanks in advance,

You'd be better off with this PSU:
Antec Truepower New Modular TPN-550 80Plus Bronze £53
More efficient, better performance, longer cables.

I'm not exactly sure what the difference is, but the cooler linked is not the popular Hyper 212 Plus. Although I think the most significant difference is that it doesn't come with mounting hardware for socket 1155.

Tall heatspreaders on RAM these days is unnecessary, but can cause problems with the installation of CPU coolers, so if I was you'd I'd spend £2 more getting this:
Corsair DDR3 Vengeance LP Cerulean Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CAS 9 1.5V CML8GX3M2A1600C9B
Or find another set of RAM without tall heatspreaders.
