Well...

The time has finally come, I'm throwing together finally a new build for my newly picked up 3440x1440 144hz Monitor. My poor i7-7700 and RX 580 cannot keep up anymore.

I'm severely out of the hardware world and I need some help with my new build. Especially when it comes to compatibility since we got DDR5 and so much other stuff.

RX 6900 XT Merc 319
Ryzen 5 7600 non X
Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX
32GB Kingston FURY Beast DDR5-5600
2TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 PCIe 4.0

The reason why I'm going for the 65w TDP 7600 is so that I can upgrade to a 7000X3D down the road and get some future proofing at least; that and DDR5.

Now to the PSU, here is where I'm somewhat torn. I wanted to get a Titanium Be Quiet 850w one, but it's sold out so I'm between the following two. Need some advice on which one to get and what the differences are, I really cannot point them out:

850 Watt be quiet! Straight Power 11 Modular 80+ Gold
850 Watt MSI MPG A850G 80+ Gold

Which one to get? Any recommendations that aren't these two?

Casewise I was looking at either a 500DX or a Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo. The latter should fit my ATX PSU so no troubles, anyhow, the PSU is my major problem right now. Any advice?

The 6900 XT is 730€, while the 6800 XT is 630€ is 6900 XT overkill for UWQHD? in case I go for the 6800 XT, would you recommend a 750w PSU? if so, which one? Wouldn't it make sense to leave 850w for future upgrades?

Sorry I'm all over the place, I'm really out of the hardware game right now

Thanks

Have you given thought to the RTX 4070 Ti?

Some thoughts:

Do you have a budget?

Today, there is mostly price/performance parity for components.
It boils down to preferences.

When changing graphics, I suggest sticking with amd in your case.
There is definitely a learning curve when changing the driver environment.
If you play fast action games then buy the stronger graphics cards.

When changing processor, stick with Intel.
There is a learning curve with ryzen, particularly regarding ram compatibility and performance.
Reading reviews of the X3D processors, their benefit is limited to several specialized gaming cases and you would give up general performance.
I5-13500 would be comparable.
Here is a review:

DDR4 and DDR5 perform comparably, and today, DDR4 ram and parts are cheaper.

Do you have a monitor?
4k, and particularly a large 4k monitor can be very immersive.

On the power supply, definitely plan on overprovisioning. 850w or even 950w.
Here is a handy chart for recommended wattage for different graphics cards:
http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm
Modern graphics cards can have very high power spikes that exceed the nominal power draw.

A psu will only consume the power demanded of it, regardless of the max capability.
Within a product line there is usually a small difference between 750w/850w.
$20 in the case of a seasonic focus GX850 with a 10 year warranty.

950w is $40 more.

Cases are a personal thing.
But, I like Lian Li quality.
The lancool216 has two 160mm front intakes that can cool anything:
