I tried to keep it under $2K before tax, but I just went over by about $39.

My only dilemma is whether my cooler and case is good enough for air cooling, but I'm willing to underclock the CPU. Also I detest RGBs, so that is why I'm replacing the stock case fans.

It all works although I'm not sure if air cooling will handle that cpu. I'd also look at a 500GB SSD for your O/S and a 2TB SSD for your storage. That will cut down on the price as will going with Gen 3 SSD's.

Any particular reason you chose a Z690 motherboard?

What exactly do you plan to put on those 2 NVMe drives? OS and apps on one; data on the other? Or what?

I chose this Z690 board since it was the cheapest with the amount of USB 3.0 port I wanted. Z790 are just way more expensive. The other Z690 that I wanted did not have bio flashback, so this was the one I chose.

One for OS drive, and one for game drive was the original plan. I was gonna get an 1TB and 2TB for each, but the SK Hynix Platinum P41 was on sale, and it was only $40 more expensive for 1 extra TB. So I plan on probably using both as game drives.

Yea, I was reading that this CPU gets hot, so I might under volt it. I seen first hand experiences with leaking AIO, and I don't want to deal with the headache of water damaged parts.

500GB SSD seems to be not enough for me, as I originally gonna do a 1TB SSD for just OS. But the SK Hynix Platinum P41 was on sale, so I bit the bullet. I might just do two game drives.

Can you find any shaky reviews of the primary parts?

You could have fabulous luck with those parts and terrible luck with our revisions. Or vice versa.

Everything in my build has great reviews from my research. The only thing I'm iffy about is maybe the air cooler vs the NH-15, but its half the price for 98% of the performance.

Lots of info out there about taming heat and power on 13th gen parts if need be.

You might take some care to find out how amenable your motherboard is to that. BIOS controls, etc.

I assume the 13600K and upcoming 13700 have been rejected.

Theres bios for that, so the first I need to do is flash the bios to the latest version.
