First build, is it good enough to run old and new games?

Hi guys,

I'm planning to do my first build with a budget of €850. I first wanted to use an AMD-FX cpu but I play some old games like BF2 and BF2: Project Reality. On the forums of those games a lot of people have trouble using and AMD-FX because BF2 is a single threaded game. Would this build be good for old and new games?

In total this build would cost €800. So I have €50 left to spend, should I use it to buy some SSD or upgrade any certain part?

Thanks,
Brian.

Not intending to max out but I'm happy if I can have decent constant FPS on medium/high graphics. So it would be okay for that?

Hey do you have the 270 or the 270X ? Either way you can max out most game like battlefield so i dont know why people say you can't

Well im talking about r9 270X not the standard and maybe its your cpu that bottlenecks your GPU ?

I don't have a bottleneck and the r9 270 is exactly the same as the 270x with a lower stock clock. If I overclock to the same speed as the 270x the card is exactly the same that is why i did not get the 270x. The 270x will probably overclock higher than the 270 but at the same clock speeds they are exactly the same performance

Firstly I wanted to get the 270x but I watched some videos and read some reviews and they all say that they are basically the same and that the 270 has better cooling. I might have one last questions? If you'd recommend a good monitor between €100-€200, what would it be? Based on the rig I want to build tho.

Fist about the cooling part it has nothing to do the 270x most of the time have better cooling, but you're right the only difference between the 270 and the 270x is that the that the other one is has a higher clock speed.
well a good monitor for that price there are allot of them so you can choose for your self.

Sorry for the late aswer.
