I'm going to build my first computer but I want to build a solid rig that will last years that I can update over time.
I'm not huge into gaming (got a ps4 for that) but I would like to be able to play the newest games if I want. The system will be used mainly for playing high quality video on a 47" flatscreen and video editing and rendering.

Here's a list of what I plan to start the build with. If anyone sees any issues or missing parts or has a suggestion I'd be very grateful to read them.

CASE: NZXT S340 Mid Tower Case CA-S340MB-GR

POWER: SeaSonic G Series 550-Watt ATX12V/EPS12V SLI

CPU: AMD YD2400C5FBBOX Ryzen 5 2400G Processor with Radeon RX Vega 11 Graphics

MB: MSI B350 TOMAHAWK Motherboard

GPU: MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 DirectX 12 VR Ready

RAM: G.SKILL F4-2133C15D-8GVR Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-PinDDR4-2133MHz

HDD: SanDisk SSD PLUS 240GB Solid State Drive - SDSSDA-240G-G26

FAN: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2)

For OS I will be installing Linux Mint although I may install Windows 10 as a second OS later

Thanks for reading!

The 2400G is not exactly a video rendering/editing cpu. Try a ryzen 1600 if you want a cheaper option. Would suggest the 1700X ideally. (the 2700X cpu with a X470 mobo would be great if you can afford it)

The rx 570/580 outperforms gtx cards in the same tasks despite the Cuda acceleration.

8gb ram is also quite less for editing/rendering. 2x8gb would be a good starting point.

Try the crucial mx500 ssd.

If the 47" TV is 1080p, ur gpu can handle the games. If it's 4k, u need a beefier card.
