I plan on using this computer for gaming and could really use some advice on things I may have overlooked in my research for the parts I wanted for my first build. I plan on playing games such as GTA V, Forza Horizon 3, and BeamNG.drive. I would really like to stay around $800 (right now all these parts add up to $775). Thanks in advance!

Oh no baby what is you doing.... Buy an AMD Ryzen
Here's a build with some major tweaks in roughly the same budget.

PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fKvYGf
Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fKvYGf/by_merchant/

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1400 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($157.49 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - GA-AX370-Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard ($101.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($116.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Toshiba - 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($78.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card ($143.66 @ Amazon)
Case: NZXT - S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair - CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($54.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $709.09

The CPU comes with a fan. You can get a cheaper case, just 1 DDR4 8Gb ram and a cheaper PSU to save money.

This will be the max it will cost you. Downgraded the PSU.

Yes and it is the best budget processor that came out recently! *Highly* recommend this build for your budget. Plus you can upgrade this in the future. The mobo, ram and cpu you chose are of the last generation. They will NOT work with most new parts as DDR4 itself is incompatible with latest/new DDR4 mobos. So are the sockets on the mobos

Hope this helped :)

Totally agree with you, great build, and wish I had USD pricing, quite affordable.

Thank you for all your help so far.
I know you said my gpu i picked out was outdated, but when i followed the link to amazon with the new one you suggested, the one i had selected was an option there so id rather go with that one.

I took your second list and made a few revisions and would and would, again, like some input. Thanks.

I'm positive I said cpu :) The gpu you picked was good. As for the new parts I see you went for the 1600 ;) Good one! Are you going to get a case in red instead of blue? It will match your gpu. Everything else looks good. You can go for an MSI X370 mobo to match the graphics card and mobo manufacturer.

Cheers

I plan on eventually replacing the led fans in the front (which make the case blue) with red ones. Thanks again for all of your help!

Good idea! I might do just that with my PC and make it RGB instead of red lol. Glad I could help!

Let us know if you need any help.
