Hi guys,
First off, thanks to all you guys on this site, I have referred back to this site many times during my research on my first build.

I think I have everything down to start building my computer soon, however I do have a few questions.

1. on my first boot and while setting up BIOS, what drive should I select to boot from on my second boot and in the future?

2. when downloading gpu drivers do I need all drivers available or just the latest drivers?

3. Do I only need the latest BIOS version or do I need to download them all?

Solution
I usually select DVD/CD drive as my first and whatever (SSD/HDD) that has the OS as my second. Reason is that if the boot drive (C) ever has an issue I want to be able to use a bootable media to start the system for an attempted repair. The latest BIOS version is what you choose if you are going to update the BIOS. The same for the video driver. Unless you have some special need addressed in a beta version, use the latest version non beta. I suggest that after your first successful boot to windows, you run windows update over and over until it says no more recommended or required updates are available. There may be some you do not want (I never use Bing so any Bing update I hide and ignore as an example) but most you will want to...

1. boot from CD rom first(assuming you are installing from CD) after that it will be what ever drive you installed your OS.
2. no just the latest
3. dont have to but if you want it wont kill (can be dangerous-if done wrong can do serious damage)

Once windows is fully updated then go ahead with your other updates. Remember to also update you security software and any other programs like Adobe Flash and Acrobat Reader if you use them.

Thanks for the quick reply, very much appreciated.

I suppose I will just download the latest BIOS, don't really know what I would be doing if I downloaded them individually.

Thanks again dude.

WOW, couldn't of asked for a more comprehensive answer, and kudos to you for reminding me about windows update.

That would have been a school boy error.
