Hey everyone. I put together my first build. I found this one on reddit. I am experiencing hard freezing at random times when gaming. I usually have youtube open on my 2nd monitor while I'm playing games. I've tried a chipset reinstall. All of my drivers are up to date. Not really sure where to go from here. My temps are reading okay as well (on Speccy). I ran everything through PC PartPicker just to make sure there were no compatibility issues.

Thank you in advance.

Did you check the temps under load?

Reset the BIOS by jumper clrCMOS or JBAT or similar (eventually you will have to set the bios priority correctly after that)

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

run userbenchmark.com and post the http link of your result, e.g. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730

Thank you for the reply. I did the BIOS update via the method you mentioned.

Here is the link of my results.

If you are getting a BSOD with Clock_Watchdog_Timeout as the error message - and you have tried doing a fresh install of Windows 10 from an install CD - then you will need to go to the Windows Download Page and download the Windows Media Creation Tool with the most up-to-date drivers (Version 2004). Install Windows 10 from a USB thumb drive. Once Windows 10 is installed, go and download the most recent AMD Ryzen chipset drivers. Do not install drivers from the CD that came with your mobo.

This is also what I was going to suggest. I had a similar issue with my 3950x and a windows install just slightly too old to update the AMD drivers when windows started.
