I think everything is connected properly, cable management aside. Can anything bad happen if I boot it up for the first time and something isn't connect properly?

Not really if you forgot to plug in something your PC will beep (most likely).

Like ^ said, nothing will really go wrong if something isn't pluuged in. It either just wont boot up or the mobo will give some sort of beep. Most likely just wont power up

You cant really damage things if you forget to plug something in. But just run a checklist to ensure connections
