Pretty much nailed it, but I would use a Seasonic S12II 520 over the EVGA 500, better quality. Might also want to use a kit of RAM rather than one stick for dual channel. I may be picky, but I can tell the difference. System doesn't feel as "crisp" when in single channel mode. Consider getting a 750 watt PSU now if you intend to go SLI rather than buying the PSU again.

Awesomely ideas! I'll definitely switch to dual-channel ram (2×4gb). I should have mentioned before that I'm pretty set on the S340 case for the asthetics, but thanks for all the great options!
Also, is there really any big differences between the Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI and the MSI Z170A SLI Plus?
